Norwegian helicopter Induces a Rock Fall beside a Fjord
Просмотров 11 млн14 лет назад
A helicopter smacks down a rock off a cliff face to eliminate a rock fall hazard for the road below. The helicopter then displays its dominance of the Fjord by urinating all over the rock face. This is done to loosen and remove any remaining small rocks that may fail at another time and cream a volvo or saab on the road below. The scaling occurred at Oppdølstranda on Nordmøre, Norway. Thanks to...
This is good stuff, I had no idea anyone did this (with a helo). Neat!
If this was the U.S., it would be because there was a homeless encampment at the bottom.
Be cheaper to move the road in the long run.
This is road maintenance on another level!
I like rocks.
Where is Norway's homeless going to sleep now?
Why am I seeing this after 14 years? Were the rocks injured in any way?
Imagine the shockwave in the helicopter when that ball hits the wall. You would not want to get it stuck either. This looks like a pretty risky job.
And that, boys and girls, is how little rocks are made.
Clearly the algorithm has dementia.
Rock climbers dream.
Interesting, effective
Norwegians have balls....of steel
Really isn’t there a thing called the natural process of things it’s like snow avalanches what a waste of money
“Nice” - us
Huge error in narration at 50 second mark, "...ninety tons of limestone, scattered at its foot....". It's ninety MILLION tons of limestone.
They conveniently neglect to tell the story of the baby girl on top of the rocks. Other than to say it isnt true. I don't believe it.
why they don't just use rock climbers? 🤣🤣🤣
my mom caught a young man relieving himself on one of the boulders and yelled at him, he looked very confused, she just yelled "go read the plaque when your done" as she was leaving she heard him yell "oh my god!" probably wasn't planning on peeing on a mass grave that day...
How old would Myley Cyrus have been then
Grew up in Blairmore. This kept me awake at night.
我們能不能談談這位攝影師在將落下的岩石保持在畫面中並始終保持專注方面是多麼令人難以置信……哇
👍
I wonder if there's a grave marker for the 58 bodies still buried there
Why the water?
To simulate natural erosion over time. The same reason for falling the bolder
According to the description it was to display its dominance over the fjord.
That was satisfying to watch
90 tons? Definitely more than 90 tons came sliding down there.
Ya they forgot the word million behind it
Watch out 😮below
Why not just use some cheap soviet rpgs?
Why are they pouring water over the place they broke the rock off?
Artificial erosion
*angry birds theme*
Can you send this video to Yosemite, they still haven’t figured it out.
That clip of the rock caught is sick. Almost like you can feel the energy of the collision.
Wow!
Human Geo goes hard
hi
Collapse the mountain ffs. Bore holes and dynamite it.

I caught some junkies dropping rocks next to my Ford last week... I was pissed
Smashing video.
Heli wrecking ball? Serious skills from the pilots! Awesome job guys Thanks for sharing guys Paul
poor rocks
legendary video description
What is the purpose of the helicopter putting the water on that side of the rock structure?
Wonder how the pilot can take off with the size of his ball
Terrible that it happened, but after everything had settled, it’s quite a breath-taking view. Went here every summer growing up & would bike all over the place. CNP is also home of the smallest church.
Man of all places of hear of this historic accident was on TikTok and I’m a university student, I’d like to go see this place one day
Crazy!
why the water at the end?
90 ton?? seems like a lowball
